littlekhole: “So Julia Pott mentioned to me that she’s doing this collaboration for The Decembrists a while back. Since I don’t really follow The Decembrists in any way I kind of forgot but she just sent me the link to the trailer - basically on October 19 in Los Angeles marks the debut of Here Come the Waves: The Hazards of Love Visualized, a collaboration between the band and four filmmakers, Guilherme Marcondes, Julia Pott, Peter Sluszka and Santa Maria — each of whom have created animation to accompany a section of the album. At the show, the band will perform the entire album synchronized with the animation, as well as an additional second set of older and newer material.
